New Delhi, March 26 -- The Delhi high court on Tuesday is set to hear a plea challenging the election of Atishi as member of legislative assembly (MLA) from the Kalkaji constituency, alleging that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator indulged in "corrupt practices" in the recent Delhi assembly elections and misused her position as chief minister to gain an unfair advantage.

Atishi secured 52,058 votes and defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Ramesh Bidhuri by a margin of more than 3,500 votes. The results were declared on February 8. In the same election senior AAP leaders such as Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia lost from their respective constituencies.
