New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- The Delhi high court on Tuesday sought chief minister Atishi's response in a plea filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor, challenging a city court's order quashing the summons issued to her in connection with a defamation case.
The case in question, that Kapoor filed in April 2024, stemmed from Atishi allegedly accusing the BJP of offering bribes to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators to switch parties.
A bench of justice Vikas Mahajan issued notice in Kapoor's plea and fixed April 30 as the next date of hearing. The court refused to immediately stay the observations of the city court made in its January 28 order, regarding the court justifying Atishi's conduct by observing that the statemen...
