India, Aug. 7 -- At least one person has been killed after a light aircraft crashed in Kenya's capital Nairobi on Thursday. As per reports, the aircraft, identified as a Cessna Citation 560, was headed for Somalia and operated by medical charity AMREF Flying Doctors.
Based on a Reuters report, only one death has been confirmed. However, local reports state that at least two people are dead and two others have been injured in the crash.
The plane was carrying four passengers when it crashed into buildings in the Githurai suburb in northeastern Nairobi, Kenya-based Citizen TV reported.
Officials said the plane took off from Wilson Airport and was heading to Hargeisa when it lost contact with air traffic control at around 12:17 pm.
