Shimla, Nov. 1 -- Himachal Pradesh in October received 68.5 mm of rainfall, highest in 20 years.
As per the statement issued by MeT department, the state received the 14th highest rainfall (68.5 mm) in October since 1901. This is the highest October rainfall since 2005, with the highest ever recorded in 1955 (413.5 mm).
The state received 68.5 mm of rainfall against the normal 25.1 mm, making it the 14th highest October rainfall since 1901 and the highest since 2005. The record for the highest-ever October rainfall remains from 1955, when Himachal received 413.5 mm.
