Nagpur, March 18 -- At least 25 people, including police personnel, were injured and several vehicles torched as communal clashes broke out in Nagpur on Monday amid an ongoing controversy over Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Officials said Hindu outfit Bajrang Dal held a protest demanding Aurangzeb's grave be razed. Tensions simmered after Muslim groups alleged that a cloth with "kalma" (Islamic prayer) written on it was burnt during the protest.

A rumour spread that a Quran was also burnt during the stir, which triggered clashes. P12
