Chandigarh, Feb. 3 -- The Punjab and Haryana high court has directed the director general of police (DGP), Punjab, and state's home secretary to remain present in the court on February 11, if a Ferozepur businessman, who is accused of rape and on the run for four years, is not arrested by the police.

The businessman, Varinder Pal Singh @ VP Singh @ VP Handa was booked on October 10, 2020, at the Kulgarhi police station in Ferozepur after the intervention of the Punjab State Women Commission.
