Arms dealer declared fugitive economic offender
New Delhi, July 6 -- A Delhi court has declared London-based arms middleman Sanjay Bhandari a fugitive economic offender and directed the confiscation of his undisclosed foreign assets worth Rs.655 crore, marking the 16th such declaration under the 2018 legislation.
Special Judge Sanjeev Aggarwal, in a 100-page order delivered on Saturday, ruled that the Enforcement Directorate had met all requirements under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018, to designate Bhandari as an economic fugitive.
