New Delhi, Oct. 14 -- Delhi is likely to log its first spell of "poor" air this season, with pollution levels expected to worsen through the week, according to forecasts by the Centre's Air Quality Early Warning System (EWS). If the forecasts hold true, this would end the Capital's four-month-long streak of "satisfactory" or better air. On Monday, the AQI touched 189 (moderate), marginally worse than 167 on Sunday. Forecasts show the AQI is likely to hit "poor" on Tuesday, for the first time since June 11, when Delhi clocked an AQI of 245. "The outlook for the subsequent six days shows the air quality is likely to be between the 'poor' to 'very poor' category," the EWS forecast said.P3
