India, Jan. 12 -- Apple will use Google's Gemini models for its revamped Siri later this year under a multi-year deal, deepening the two companies' partnership in artificial intelligence and strengthening Alphabet's position against OpenAI.
Announced on Monday, the agreement is a significant endorsement for Google.
While its technology already underpins much of Samsung's "Galaxy AI," the Siri integration opens access to Apple's installed base of more than two billion active devices.
