India, Jan. 29 -- The two US Border Patrol agents have been suspended following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, according to information obtained by The Post. The Department of Homeland Security said in a preliminary review released on Tuesday that the agents fired their weapons during a physical struggle with Pretti over the weekend, which resulted in his death.
Department of Homeland Security officials confirmed that the decision to place the officers on administrative leave is standard protocol in cases involving a law enforcement shooting, as reported by The New York Post. The two Border Patrol agents involved have not been publicly identified.
