India, Dec. 13 -- Nandamuri Balakrishna got a belated but welcome reception at the box office this Friday. His action epic Akhanda 2 finally relesed in theatres after a week-long delay and collected an impressive Rs.30.5 crore.

As per Sacnilk.com, the film made Rs.8 crore in Thursday previews and another Rs.22 crore on Friday, release day. For contrast, part 1 made Rs.15 crore on Day 1 (Thursday) and Rs.6 crore on Day 2 (Friday). The overall collection after about five weeks was Rs.89 crore.

Balayya's last big release, Daaku Maharaj, made Rs.100 crore in India in five weeks.
