Pune, Jan. 4 -- The political slugfest between Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continued on Saturday ahead of the upcoming local body polls, with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief blaming BJP "for the lack of development" in Pune and "irregularities" in the Pimpri Chinchwad municipal corporation, even as the BJP urged Pawar to "introspect" before levelling such allegations. Addressing a press conference in Pune, Pawar said the problems have increased despite the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) having adequate resources. "...Citizens have not received adequate civic amenities," he said. P2
