Air India to suspend Delhi-Washington flights from Sep 1
New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- Almost two months after Air India's B787 crashed moments after take off from Ahmedabad for Gatwick, Air India announced its flights from Delhi to Washington DC to be suspended from the coming month, attributing the suspension, from September 1 till at least next year end, to a combination of operational factors.
This comes a day after the airline announced a retrofit of their legacy aircraft- B787 and will also upgrade the avionics and other critical components of its 26 legacy B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft to reduce operational disruptions as well as improve overall reliability.
