Kolkata, Jan. 4 -- The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has assured clubs that it will share a significant percentage of costs for the league this season. The federation has also promised to share a timeline of discussions, including invitation to bid to be a commercial partner, to firm up its 20-year plan for the men's top tier league with the clubs. In return, AIFF will ask the clubs to suggest what format the league should be played and seek confirmation of participation. AIFF has proposed two formats: one where teams will be split into two zones and another where teams will play each other once with a fixed number of away matches.
