Agniveer killed in J&K landmine blast, 2 hurt
JAMMU, July 26 -- An Agniveer soldier died and two others were injured in a landmine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati (KG) sector of Poonch district on Friday, officers aware of the matter said.
"Around 12.15pm, a border patrol of the army stepped over an M16 anti-personnel mine near Victor post in Salotri village of KG sector that caused an explosion," they added.
"Agniveer Lalit Kumar of 7 JAT regiment sustained critical injuries and died in the blast," officers said, adding that he was originally from Pastra village of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
