New Delhi, Feb. 6 -- Close on the heels of finalising the contours of the India-US trade deal on Monday, New Delhi and six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - the geography that houses about 10 million Indian community and has $178.6 billion bilateral trade-on Thursday agreed on terms to start negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA). Talking about the proposed deal, Union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said, "The FTA will enable seamless flow of goods, and services and attract investments while expanding job opportunities and fostering food and energy security for the region, elevating our deep economic ties."
