Imphal, Feb. 22 -- The Manipur Police on Friday said a person has surrendered their weapons and combat gear, a day after governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla urged all communities to voluntarily surrender looted and illegally held weapons within seven days.

According to a statement issued by Manipur Police, the individual -- whose identity was not disclosed -- voluntarily surrendered weapons and combat gear at the Kakching police station on Friday. The list of weapons include a .303 rifle with one magazine, 13 rounds of .303 ammunition, four bulletproof vests, five bulletproof plates, and four helmets.
