Chandigarh, May 24 -- A high-profile case involving a Gurugram builder was withdrawn from a sitting judge of the Punjab and Haryana high court after the chief justice received "oral and written" complaints against the judge. The chief justice said that he ordered the case be withdrawn from the judge and listed it before himself even though the verdict had been reserved, in order to "preserve the dignity and honour of the institution".
