India, May 12 -- The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan are slated to hold high-level talks on Monday regarding the ongoing tension between the two neighbours. The talks will be conducted via hotline at noon.

The meeting aims to reinforce a recently agreed-upon ceasefire and lay the groundwork for lasting calm along the border.

India clarified that it will engage with Pakistan only at the level of the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) and there will be no talks on issues such as Kashmir and the Indus Waters Treaty, which remains in abeyance, people familiar with the matter said on Sunday.
