Srinagar, April 28 -- A 45-year-old man was shot dead by suspected terrorists in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased -- identified as Ghulam Rasool Magray, a social activist -- was shot at in his residence in Kandi Khas area of the district on Saturday. Locals and Magray's relatives rushed him to the Government Medical College in Handwara where he succumbed to injuries.
A senior police officer aware of the details said that terrorists were responsible for the killing. "We got some clue about the attackers," the officer said.
Police said that they have yet to ascertain the motive behind the killing. They also said that no terror group has claimed responsibility for Magray's death....
