AAP suspends amritsar mla for anti-party activities
Chandigarh, June 30 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday suspended Amritsar North legislator Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh from the party for five years for allegedly indulging in anti-party activities. The suspension came days after he questioned the June 25 arrest of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia by the vigilance bureau in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
AAP spokesperson Neel Garg said the disciplinary action has been taken against Kunwar Vijay due to his activities against the party. "However, despite being an MLA from the party, Kunwar Vijay Pratap deliberately spoke against this action, which is entirely inappropriate," he said.
