New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for severe waterlogging in Delhi after heavy rain, prompting a sharp counterattack from the BJP accusing AAP of "politicising tragedies". On Thursday, former chief minister Atishi and other AAP leaders accused the current administration of poor monsoon preparedness. In a letter to chief minister Rekha Gupta, Atishi demanded the dismissal of PWD minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma over a tree fall in Kalkaji that killed a man and seriously injured his daughter. "This is not an 'act of nature' - it is the result of the absolute lack of monsoon-related preparedness," Atishi wrote.
