New Delhi, April 16 -- The BJP and the AAP clashed on Tuesday over the alleged suspension of economically weaker section (EWS) certificates in Delhi.
While AAP accused the BJP-led city government of halting the issuance of new certificates, the BJP dismissed the charge as "misleading," claiming AAP was stoking controversy to divert attention from an alleged EWS scam involving its own leaders. BJP leaders insisted that eligible beneficiaries would continue to receive EWS certificates and associated benefits, and that CM Rekha Gupta had only called for guidelines to prevent misuse.
