India, Feb. 17 -- Along with her husband and sister, Pinky planned to visit Kumbh - something she had never attended before. On Saturday night, she didn't even reach the platform as the crowd on the staircase swallowed her. Her brother Shankar told HT that people stepped on her after she fell on the staircase. "We were 12 of us at the railway station, and saw a sea of people at 8pm... The staircase was full and we lost her there only. I also lost my younger daughter for a moment, and literally had to pull her out of there." Pinky, a resident of Sangam Vihar, is survived by her husband and their two children.
