Bhopal/Rewa, April 4 -- A court in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday sentenced eight people to life imprisonment for raping a 19-year-old woman after kidnapping her along with her husband in October 2024.
Fourth additional sessions judge Padma Jatav pronounced the verdict after the accused -- identified as Ramkishan, Garud Kori, Rakesh Gupta, Sushil Kori, Rajnish Kori, Deepak Kori, Rajendra Kori and Lavkush Kori -- were convicted on Wednesday. The court, on Thursday, also imposed a fine of Rs.2.30 lakh each on all convicts
