7 held in PunjaB aap sarpanch murder case
Chandigarh/Amritsar, Jan. 13 -- Punjab Police on Monday arrested seven people, including the two shooters, in connection with the January 4 murder of AAP-affiliated sarpanch Jarmal Singh of Valtoha village.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav called gangster Prabh Dasuwal, who is based in Portugal, as the mastermind behind the attack. Yadav attributed the motive to "personal enmity", though the logistical scale suggested a coordinated gang operation.
Police brought shooters Sukhraj Singh and Karamjeet Singh to Amritsar by air after securing transit remand from a local court in Chhattisgarh.
