India, Sept. 18 -- A 60-year-old woman was killed while another was severely injured when a dilapidated residential building in Jaipur collapsed early on Thursday morning, said officials.

"The incident happened at around 7am", an official from the Subhash Chowk police station said.

"The deceased was doing some household chores with her daughter-in-law while two children were playing outside the house", he said.

According to police, the two-storey building suddenly collapsed when the two women got stuck under the debris.

"Their neighbours and relatives immediately called the police. The local civil defense team from the municipality arrived at around 9am," said the officer.
