6 killed, 2 injured in Yamuna e-way accident
New Delhi, July 20 -- Six people, including five members of a family, died and two others sustained grievous injuries after a minivan crashed into a truck on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police said.
Mathura senior superintendent of police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said the accident took place around 3am at the expressway's milestone 140. "The Agra-bound minivan rammed into a heavy vehicle possibly due to the driver falling asleep at the wheel," he told reporters. "Six people died on the spot, while two sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a hospital."
