New Delhi, March 22 -- A 51-year-old man died of burn injuries in a fire that broke out in his third floor residence in Baljeet Nagar, central Delhi, on Friday, officials said.
DCP (central) Harsha Vardhan said the deceased was identified as Praveen Sachdeva, who owned a motor parts manufacturing factory in Wazirpur, but it was reportedly non-functional. A call about the fire was received by Patel Nagar police at 5.16am. "The fire was doused after the fire tenders reached. Sachdeva was shifted to a city hospital where he was declared dead," the officer said. Sachdeva lived alone at the address. Police said a report regarding the exact cause of the fire is awaited.htc
