Patna, Nov. 16 -- Five members of a family were charred to death in a fire that broke out at their house in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar on Friday night, police said.
The incident occurred on the third floor of Gena Shah's building located in the Motipur locality of the town.
Following the blaze, six other members of the family were rushed to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH), where they are currently undergoing treatment.
DSP Suchitra Kumari confirmed the incident, saying, "The fire, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, engulfed the third floor of the building when the occupants were asleep." avinash kumar
