India, July 15 -- At least five people have been killed after a Tempo Traveller plunged into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Tuesday morning. The death toll earlier stood at three.
DC Doda Harvinder Singh has confirmed to HT that at least five people are dead and 19 are injured, of which 4 are in critical condition. As per Singh, the critically injured included a five year old girl.
The district collector further added that preliminary reports suggest the accident was caused by a mechanical issue with the steering of the vehicle. The exact cause will be ascertained after detailed investigation.
