Karnal, Dec. 22 -- A Kurukshetra court has sentenced five people to death for the 2023 murder of a doctor, who was killed during a robbery at her home in Kurukshetra. The court of additional district and sessions judge delivered the verdict against the five convicts, identified as Vikramjeet alias Bittu, Vikram alias Vicky, Sunil, Manish, and Poonam, on Saturday. The accused were found guilty under sections 302 (murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC. It also acquitted two other accused -- Ketram and Umesh -- in the case. According to police, the victim Vanita Arora was killed on January 9, 2023 during a robbery at her home in Sector 13 of Kurukshetra.
