New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- Around 36.25% of Health Sector Grant (HSG) to states for the period of 2021-2026 to strengthen primary healthcare are yet to be released, data shared in Rajya Sabha has showed. According to data, only Rs.44,658.43 crore of the total Rs.70,051 crore proposed in the 15th Finance Commission has been released in the last five years. Data showed Goa has received Rs.34.47 crore out of the Rs.167 crore, amounting to around 21% of its allocation. Nagaland follows, having received Rs.75.51 crore against a recommended Rs.303 crore, translating to about 25% of the sanctioned amount.
