New Delhi, Oct. 17 -- Ahead of the Diwali festivities in the national capital, the Delhi Fire Services has placed over 320 fire tenders and more than 2,000 staffers on alert across the city to respond to any fire-related emergency. The deployment will begin on October 19, a day before Diwali, and continue till the festival ends on October 21.
According to an internal DFS order issued on Thursday, the department has identified around 58 key locations across Delhi, including crowded markets, densely populated residential areas, and stretches where fire stations are located far away. DFS said additional fire units and extra deployment will be done at these 58 spots. htc
