Palakkad (Kerala), Dec. 31 -- A 30-year-old man was allegedly assaulted after being tied to an electric pole in a public place over a financial feud in Thenari village of Palakkad district in Kerala, police said on Tuesday, adding that two people were arrested in the incident. According to police, the incident took place on December 17, and preliminary investigation suggests that the violence stemmed from a dispute over a loan taken at interest. Two people, identified as Sreekesh and Girish, were arrested in the case. Those arrested are known to be friends of the victim, identified as Vipin.
