Kolkata, July 20 -- A Kolkata court has remanded three people, including a retired assistant commissioner of police and a serving inspector, in 14-day judicial custody in connection with the 2021 post-poll murder of a BJP worker in West Bengal, people aware of the matter said on Saturday. "Retired Kolkata ACP Subhajit Sen, inspector Ratna Sarkar and home guard Dipankar Debnath were sent to judicial custody for 14 days on Friday by a sessions court in Kolkata in connection with the murder of Abhijit Sarkar on May 2, 2021," a lawyer aware of the development said requesting anonymity.
