Guwahati, Aug. 19 -- A newborn girl died and two babies suffered injuries on Monday after allegedly falling from the bed in which they were kept at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of government-run Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
Officials confirmed the incident, terming it an accident, and ordered an in-house inquiry including checking CCTV cameras of the unit and failure of attendant nurses and doctors to take proper care of the newborns. P10
