New Delhi, April 19 -- Over 100 seized vehicles were gutted in a fire that broke out at the Delhi Police traffic malkhana (pit) in Wazirabad on Friday, the third such incident in the city this month and the second at the same site in two weeks, officials said.
Delhi Fire Services (DFS) chief Atul Garg said the fire was reported at 2.32pm. "Three tenders were rushed to the site. The fire had spread to 35 cars and 65 bikes. Nobody was injured. The fire was doused by 3.25pm," Garg said. Fire officials said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and Delhi Police will conduct an inquiry.
