New Delhi, April 21 -- A 25-year-old man shot his 52-year-old mother in Dhulsiras village near Dwarka, southwest Delhi in the early hours of Sunday, police said, adding that the woman is battling for her life in hospital.
Police said the hospital called them at 1am about a woman admitted with gunshot injuries. Police arrived on the scene, questioned the family and arrested the accused, identified by his first name as Abhishek.
"The bullet hit the woman near the lower chest ribs, damaging her liver a bit. The motive behind the attack is being investigated. Abhishek was arrested.
