Bengaluru, July 11 -- A 25-year-old man was arrested for the alleged rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Tavarekere area on the outskirts of Bengaluru, police said on Thursday. "The incident took place when the girl, a class 6 student, was alone at home on Wednesday. Her parents, daily wage labourers from Koppal district, were away at a construction site. The accused, who was known to the family, allegedly forced his was into the house. When her parents returned home for lunch, they found the girl severely injured and bleeding.
