LUCKNOW, March 27 -- Twenty-five children from the Nirvan rehabilitation centre for children (Nirvan Rajkiya Bal Griha Visheshikrit) were brought to Lok Bandhu Hospital with symptoms of severe dehydration and diarrhoea over the last four days and two girls died during this period, officials said on Wednesday.
This shelter houses destitute children aged 10-18 years, especially those with special needs.
Medical superintendent of Lok Bandhu Raj Narayan Hospital Dr AS Tripathi said, "The children started getting admitted on March 23. Even today we have had some admissions."
He elaborated that all the children presented with similar symptoms and were being treated.
