LUCKNOW, March 26 -- A surprise inspection of Lucknow-Kanpur Road in Nadarganj locality was conducted on Wednesday to ease traffic congestion and improve road conditions. Officials were directed to immediately ban vehicle parking on the road and ensure challans are issued for violations.

Divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) project director to expedite ongoing road construction by increasing manpower and machinery.

She instructed that heavy vehicles should be regularly diverted from Junab Ganj to prevent bottlenecks. Authorities were also directed to remove illegal structures obstructing drainage work and clear encroachments from the roads through a sustained drive.
