GREATER NOIDA, Jan. 1 -- Over 200 private housing societies in Greater Noida and Greater Noida West are under scrutiny for alleged lapses in operating sewage treatment plants (STPs), officials said on Wednesday. Notices were issued to 202 builder societies seeking details on STP capacity, functioning and reuse of treated water. Greater Noida authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG said non-compliance would invite action, with inspections to follow. Six societies have already been fined Rs.27 lakh. HTC
