Kochi, July 28 -- Two Catholic nuns from Kerala were arrested in Chhattisgarh on charges of human trafficking and forced conversions, with the incident triggering a political uproar as chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention in ensuring justice to the two nuns. The two nuns, identified as Preethy Mary and Vandana Francis, were among three arrested by police at the Durg railway station on Friday for attempting to take three woman to Agra under the false promise of jobs, an official said.
