New Delhi, April 7 -- The Delhi Police has arrested a 50-year-old man and his son, aged 27, for allegedly faking the latter's death to claim a life insurance of Rs.1 crore, officers said on Sunday.
Police have identified the father-son duo as Satish Kumar and Gagan Kumar.
Giving details of the case, police said Satish Kumar on March 5 arrived at the Najafgarh police station and claimed that his son Gagan had met with an accident. Investigators said they attempted to get in touch with Gagan Kumar, but he was not reachable, and Satish Kumar too left the police station without giving a formal statement.
