PANAJI, Oct. 18 -- Two men were killed and five others seriously injured in an explosion that took place at a private shipyard in south Goa. The explosion, which took place at a shipyard belonging to Vijai Marine Services, was believed to be caused in an enclosed chamber on an under repair ship, took place at around 6.00PM on Friday evening. "We received a call at around 6:10 informing us of a blast at Vijai Marine Services Shipyard. By the time we reached the hospital, the casualties were shifted to the hospital.
