Ferozepur, April 21 -- A 17-year-old boy died on Sunday while another sustained injuries due to a massive fire that broke out in the agricultural fields of Neelewala village in Ferozepur district of Punjab, said police.
According to police, the two teenagers - Karan and Arjun - were on a motorcycle when they got caught in a field fire, allegedly caused after a spark from a high-voltage power line came in contact with a ripe wheat crop.
"Karan died on the spot, while Arjun was severely injured and was rushed to Civil Hospital in Zira. He was later referred to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in Faridkot," said an official.
