Meerut, April 14 -- An 18-year-old pharmaceutical student was fatally shot allegedly by his 13-year-old neighbour in Meerut on Saturday, police officers said on Sunday, adding that they have taken the boy into custody for questioning.
According to police, the victim has been identified as Mohammad Kaif, a resident of Khajuri village. He was watching an IPL cricket match at his neighbour's house when the 13-year-old boy retrieved the firearm from his grandfather's collection. The two then started playing with the gun when the boy aimed it at Kaif and pulled the trigger, police added.
