Bharatpur, Aug. 14 -- A total of 11 people, including seven children, were killed and several others injured after a pickup van with 22 people on board rammed into a stationary truck in Dausa district of Rajasthan on Wednesday, police officers privy to the matter said. The accident took place on NH-148 near Dausa's Bapi village around 3.30am on Wednesday, cops said. Dausa SP Sagar Rana said, "The victims, hailing from Etah and Firozabad districts of Uttar Pradesh, were returning from Khatu Shyam temple. Around 45 devotees from Asrauli village had travelled in two pickups for the pilgrimage. The mishap involved one vehicles which was carrying over 22 passengers, mostly women and children."
