New Delhi, Nov. 19 -- Customs officials arrested an Indian passenger arriving from Singapore at the Delhi airport for allegedly smuggling 1.2kg of gold concealed in machine spare parts, police said. The man, who landed on Air India flight AI-2383, was flagged at the green channel based on profiling. Though his baggage cleared scanning, officials noted behavioural inconsistencies and questioned him. "He later admitted that around 1200 grams of gold had been concealed inside the parts in the shipment," an official said. At the New Courier Terminal, officials recovered 1.2kg of hard gold hidden in five spare parts, officials added.HTC
